Kundapur, Mar 14: Gangolli police managed to rescue 11 cattle which were being illegally transported in a pick up truck on Monday March 14 morning. While the vehicle and cattle were taken into custody, those involved with this illegall activity succeeded in escaping.

At around 4 am on Monday, the above cattle were being taken in a pick up truck towards Bhatkal from the direction of Kundapur on national highway 66. Gangolli police deputed on checking duty at Mullikatte junction near Gangolli noticed the vehicle and signalled it to stop. The driver tried to flee without caring for the signal.

The policemen gave the traffickers a hot chase, upon which the driver developed cold feet, parked his vehicle by the roadside, and took to his heels. The policemen think that there were two persons in the vehicle. Six calves and six cows, comprising eight female and three male heads of cattle were rescued from the vehicle.

Gagolli police sub-inspector, Subbanna, has been guiding the operations to nab the culprits. The cattle, which are at present provided shelter at Gangolli police station will be sent to cattle protection centre, it is gathered.

    Joy, Mangalore.

To be honest it's more than 10 years I have not eaten Beef in Mangalore.
In Kuwait too we hardly eat Beef. May once in three months.
Those were the days (childhood, School & College days) enjoying Beef sukka, chili, pepper fry, curry, roast, steak etc.
Honestly we never ever used to watch the cattle but used boy from the meat shop in Kankanady elsewhere.
By watching these cows, I would advise other Beef eaters to have some feelings.

If you investigate the original owner of these cattle’s? You will come to know who support selling and killing cows.
I have one neighbor who does these types of business and agent for supplying cows, unfortunately he is Hindu.

    Henry,

To be frank, Dal is my one of the favorites.
    - Dal (Sar) typical Mangalorean style
    - Dal fry (Kerala style)
    - Dal & Pallak
    - Boiti (sheeps) with channa dal
    - Moong dal, channa dal, Tur daal
    - Dal payasam/keer
    - Dal goes with most of the vegetables
Any relief in the price of Tur dal in Mangalore?

The stolen cattle are from poor farmers for whom their animals are as important as your 420crores lying with Lalit Modu and Mallya.

If the cattles were bought from the hard earned money one will not abadone the vehicle and the animal and runaway. How many of us will run away leaving the cars at check post. We always get stopped in check post and checked. Why can't one accept the fact that, farmers are suffering from cattle robbers? Please check the real truth.

What I mean to say is LOW IMPORTANCE TASKS ARE GIVEN PRIORITY and tasks to be carried out on HIGH PRIORITY are neglected. Farmers are committing suicide due to burden of bank loans, but the government waives the loan given to industrialist. Soldiers are killed at the border but the government is busy is playing KANHAIYA-KANHAIYA.

By Looking At CATTLE TRAFFICKING in Coastal Karnataka, It's Better to Build COW Shed in Each POLICE Station by Collecting Money From So Called COW Sympathizers...!!!

When we know that transporting cattle is not a easy cake, then why these thieves resort to such wrong acts....let them transport with proper papers or ask the sellers to deliver at their homes.... why they are buying headaches and bring a bad name to the society....

Cows with calves! No doubt stolen cattle.
These people are adding salt to the wound by such activities.
Vehicle is caught and the culprits can never think of evading arrest.
Send some moral police and they will trace.
    Huttu guna.
Shame less people. Difficult correct them.
