Bangalore: Cine Stars Add Charm to World Tourism Day Celebrations

Bangalore Sep 27: In a special programme organized by state chief secretary and principal secretary to mark World Tourism Day at Vatsala Vatsa in front of Vidhana Soudha, traditional dances such as Dollu Kunita, Veeragase and yakshagana were held on Thursday September 27.

Film stars such as Abhinaya Sharade Jayanthi, Anu Prabhakar,Padmini Nanda,Anu Gowda,musician Shyamala G Bhawe were present on the occasion and witnessed the cultural bash.

Various college students, teachers, celebrities, models and government officials took part in the programme.

Cultural programme will be held at Ambedkar Bhavan at 6.30 pm. PB Mahishi chief secretary of Karnataka will inaugurate the programme. This will be followed by 'Nruthya Roopaka' on heritage of Karnataka which will be performed by Maya Rao of   Natya Institute of Karnataka. Students from various colleges will take part in the cultural programme organized by Karnataka Tourism department.
 
Tourism director Dr C Somshekar and tourism secretary IM Vittal Murthy were also present during the occasion.
