'The Gold Rush': Rajesh Pratap Singh shows metallic fashion at best

New Delhi, Mar 18 (IANS): Using gold all the way, and yet maintaining a subtlety is not every designer's cup of tea. But Rajesh Pratap Singh hit the bull's eye with his latest line 'The Gold Rush' at an ongoing fashion gala here.

"The inspiration of the collection was taken from the the Utopian land of a town so old, where every meter suddenly turned to gold," said the designer after his show at the ongoing Amazon India Fashion Week Autumn-Winter 2016, while talking about the line.

Usually his clothes are monochromatic in black and white, but this time Singh added gold to his creations -- leaving the attendees at the gala smitten with its use with white.

He used shades of gold in various fabrics on garments that were simple, sophisticated and downright classic. Fabrics used in the collection varied from satin to cotton, and the wearable clothes had sharp and clean cuts. The looks were accessorised well with canvas shoes and accessories.
