Rapper Divine unveils video shot on iPhone

Mumbai, March 18 (IANS): City-based rapper and hip-hop singer Divine has unveiled his new single "Jungli sher" with worldwide debut of the song's music video, which was shot on an iPhone, on Friday.

Produced by Sony Music and helmed by director Vandana Kataria, the video was shot on iPhone 6s in 43 locales over four days here.

“'Jungli sher' is my story, yours and everyone’s story. I am extremely excited that my team and Sony Music together have released this song and through them it will reach millions of ears. I could have not asked for more, this song is for my people and I really hope listeners everywhere like it," Divine said in a statement.

Kataria said that shooting on iPhone allowed her the "comfort" of filming across the multiple locations.

“The visualisation came from the lyrics itself. It led me to see Divine traverse the length and the breadth of the city, encountering people and situations, that reflect the very gist of the rap," she added.

After gaining popularity with his single "Mere gully mein", Divine also awarded the Best New Artist 2015 by iTunes and Apple Music in India.
