Mumbai: Udupi Vasudeva Bhat honored with Swara Surabhi award

Mumbai, Mar 21: Udupi Vasudeva Bhat was presented the prestigious Swara Surabhi award– 2015 in the presence of musical scholars, different departmental officials and music lovers in the Govardana Kshetra of Bengaluru's Puthige math recently.










Well known Kannada scholar Prema Bhat, author G R Subrahmanya and other elite persons presented cash and award and felicitated him. Vasudeva Bhat has devoted his entire life for art.

Hindustani music artiste Pandith B V Radhakrishna, Akhila Karnataka Beladingala Sahitya Sammelana samithi president, journalist Shekar Ajekaru and Sunanda Vasudeva Bhat were the guests of honour.

Organization president Sridhar Ayyar gave the keynote address. M S Giridhar, Vasudha and others co-operated. Several music groups and well known artistes showcased their talents at the programme.
