Rishi Kapoor joyous over his 'hat-trick'


Mumbai, March 27 (IANS): At a time when the cricket fever is at the peak with the World Twenty20 tournament, veteran actor Rishi Kapoor is upbeat about his own "hat-trick".

"Aahh!!! Without sounding immodest, somebody just pointed out -- I scored a 'hat-trick' with Dharma Productions! 'Agneepath', 'Student Of The Year' and 'Kapoor & Sons'. Not bad, cricket in the air," he tweeted.

The 63-year-old actor's latest release is "Kapoor & Sons" in which he plays the head of a dysfunctional family. The movie, directed by Shakun Batra, stars Sidharth Malhotra, Alia Bhatt and Fawad Khan in key roles.

Actress Preity Zinta believes the concept of paid media has "destroyed the integrity" of the profession in the country.

During a question and answer session on Twitter, one user asked the actress about her views on whether the media spreads negativity.

To that, Preity responded: "Actually, paid media has spread like cancer & is truly destroying the integrity of Indian media. It's sad."

Akshay takes break from 'Robot 2' for cricket

Actor Akshay Kumar, who has a pivotal role in Rajinikanth starrer "Robot 2", says after a hard week of work for the film, he found it relaxing to enjoy watching a cricket match with his children and friends.

The actor is in the capital to shoot "Robot 2", a project by Shankar. Akshay's look in the film has been heavily worked upon, and no prizes for guessing that it must be needing a lot of hours.

No wonder then that Akshay tweeted on Saturday: "After a hard week on #Robot2 cant tell u'll how good it feels to enjoy a match with my kids and friends in Delhi #WT20."
