Amitabh, Aamir 'thank and salute' Virat Kohli, praised Dhoni


Mumbai, Mar 28 (IANS): Megastar Amitabh Bachchan and superstar Aamir Khan have lauded Virat Kohli for his winning stroke against Australia at World Twenty20 match and labelled the young cricketer as a "genius".

Big B and Aamir gave a shout-out to the cricketer after winning a thrilling match against Australia on Sunday. The Indian cricket team defeated Australia by six wickets at the Punjab Cricket Association Stadium on Mohali, Sunday to enter the World Twenty20 semi-finals.

The "Ghulam" actor shared that the innings were a combination "of a marathon, a chess game and archery".

"What an innings! Virat SALUTE ! This innings was a combination of a marathon, a chess game, and archery! Bullseye! Love and respect! a." Aamir tweeted.

Big B too had a word of appreciation.

"VIRAT !! You are simply genius!!..Virat Kohli you were brilliance times infinity!! Pure genius. Thank you for tonight ! And may many more such nights come our way !!" the "Sholay" star wrote.

The 73-year-old cine icon also praised the India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni for his leadership.

"M.S. Dhoni many congratulations...another great example of your leadership ! So much to learn from you !!" he tweeted.
