Udupi, Mar 29: A girl, who wanted her lover’s phone number, was beaten up on Monday, March 28 here.
Parvathi (18) from Durganagara in Indrali is the complainant and victim.
As per the complaint, Parvathi says she loved a boy named Clinton four years back. She came to know that Clinton now stays In Mumbai. She wanted to know his phone number. So she went to Clinton’s house at Gundibail in Shivalli on Monday afternoon. She met Clinton’s mother Silian and asked her to give Clinton’s phone number. But then Clinton’s aunt asked Parvathi why she wanted Clinton’s number. She then pushed Parvathi by her neck till the compound gate. She also allegedly beat up Parvathi using a cane.
Udupi police have registered a case and are investigating.
