Jonah Hill to step into into direction

Los Angeles, Mar 31 (IANS): Actor-comedian Jonah Hill will make his directorial debut with the upcoming coming-of-age film “Mid ’90s”, based on a script that he has penned.

According to sources, the film follows a young boy coming up in Los Angeles in the mid-1990s learning life lessons with his skateboarding crew of friends, reports variety.com.

Hill will not be acting in the film, and a production start date is still being worked out.

The project marks another major step in Hill’s career.

From a young comedian, he went on to be a talented dramatic actor, having received Oscar nominations for his performances in “The Wolf of Wall Street” and “Moneyball”.

While he hasn’t directed before, this is not his first time penning a script, having worked on “21 Jump Street”, his animated series “Allen Gregory” and screenplays such as “The Adventurer’s Handbook”.
