Udupi, Apr 1: Students belonging to Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad on Friday April 1 protested against the state government and the PU department, a day after the question paper of second PU chemistry exam leaked for a second time.

The protestors, asserting that they would not write the exam again, burnt photocopies of their hall tickets to drive them their point.

The students who gathered at the Clock Tower to hold the protest said that irresponsibility of the PU deparment was to be blamed for the situation.

"PU Board director Pallavi Akurathi has said that the question papers leaked in Bengaluru and Tumakuru. All irresponsible officers should be expelled immediately for the lapse.

"The question paper leaked a few days ago also but no one was arrested, and now it has happened again. It is big shame," they said.

Demanding the resignation of education minister Kimmane Ratnakar, they said, "Kimmane Ratnakar is hopeless. He should tender his resignation on moral grounds or he should be expelled by the chief minister. All officers responsible for the mess should be ousted.

"If our demand is not met, we will go on hunger strike," they warned.

State ABVP member Chaitra, Sriraj, Vijaykrishna Acharya, Srikanth Bhat, Sumedha Kamath, Rajesh Gurani and others were part of the protest.

All over the State Students Union should protest over the issue & it is the right time to pull these lazy Chief Minister & his co. What they thought, these bludy politicians can easily play with the students future? All the politicians are equally responsible for the issue there by all students are eligible to get distinction without appearing for the re-exam. Shame Shame to the State Govt & responsible cheap minded Govt officers & staff.

We cannot blame the education minister the question paper leak episode. The BJP is using these young innocent youth to fire up the issue and results will be zero.
The education department is headed by a IAS rank officer and there are hundreds of subordinates who are paid salaries and all the pension benefits same as other teaching staff or any other government staff.
The education department does not have any headache as such that of the revenue department or any other department which works 365 days.
The maintaining secrecy of papers is exclusive responsibility of the entire staff right from the chairman to the clerks working in the examination department.
I don’t think it will be tough for the CID to enquire and solve e the case and punish the guilty.
But if they are not punished then it is our responsibility to see that they are jailed.

    Dear Students
What ever issues with leaking question paper, plz give the value to the Hall Ticket( RESPECT IT LIKE HOLY BOOK ) .it may be a piece of paper today, but that will feed you & your family one day. your organisations ( which ever ) definatley will not give you financial & family security. Dont repent that day . it will be costlier.

All the people in the photos don't appear like students who could pass any examination. Idiots don't realise who would loose if they don't sit for any examination.

Leak in exam is surely a careless thing and concerned people are taken to task. These hall tickets that are burnt, are of the exam that was concluded. "Won't write exam again", very good step. I tell my relative to write the exam, since, Smriti Irani will not help him to get a Yale degree, but for these ABVP people, she might have promised.

Good protest.... anyway ABVP students wasn't have to pass any exam. They can survive by only joining some political parties.
