Mangaluru, Apr 4: 'The Body Rehab Advanced Physiotherapy and Pain Clinic' was inaugurated by Dr Bhasker Shetty, managing director, City Hospitals Research and Diagnostic Center at Chilimbi here on Sunday April 3. The clinic is run by Dr Bharath K H and Dr Smitha D.
The exclusive treatment rooms were inaugurated by Dr Surendra Kamath, consultant orthopaedic surgeon and HoD, orthopaedics at KMC, Mangaluru. He also launched the clinic's website. The services in the clinic were declared open by Vani Harischandra, wife of the late Dr K Harischandra by lighting the auspicious lamp.
Speaking to daijiworld Dr Bhasker Shetty said, "Physiotherapy is an integral part of medical treatment. The role of physiotherapists is very important in pre-operative and post-operarive treatment. Even during recovery after an accident, physiotherapy enables patients to move their limbs and return to a normal life.
"Earlier, physiotherapists used to be in the backstage of the treatment. This is a brave effort by Dr Bharath and I wish him good luck," he added.
Dr Surendra Kamath said, "This is a unique clinic in the city. I wish good luck to Dr Bharath."
Dr K V Devadiga, Dr Naveen Chandra Shetty, Dr Muhhammud Thahir, Suraj Devadiga, Dr Spoorthi S Devadiga, Sharath K H and Dr Shanthala Sharath were present during the occasion.
