Ajman, Apr 4: Thumbay Moideen, founder president of Thumbay Group donated several coffees to the ‘Coffee on the Wall’ CSR activity at the Blends & Brews Coffee Shoppe located at Thumbay Group’s hospital here , during an official visit to the hospital on Monday March 28. The CSR initiative which is quite popular with Blends & Brews customers and available across all its outlets in the UAE, has already benefited a large number of people.
Blends & Brews, the UAE-born chain of chic coffee shops operated by the hospitality division of Thumbay Group has the ‘Coffee on the Wall’ programme in all its outlets, wherein any customer can sponsor one or more extra coffees for visitors who cannot afford to pay. The coffees thus sponsored are displayed on the wall in the form of coupons and anyone in need can pull one out from the wall and order a coffee at the counter.
Visitors availing coffee on the wall can order any coffee of any size without it lowering his self-esteem as he can enjoy the coffee without having to ask for a free drink. Also, he does not know who the sponsor of his coffee is. Moreover, visitors who avail the free coffee are served with the customary respect and dignity.
The ‘Coffee on the Wall’ initiative is operational at all Blends and Brews outlets, and is part of the extensive CSR activities of Thumbay Group. “Through ‘Coffee on the Wall’ Blends & Brews encourages our customers to think about people who would like to enjoy, but cannot afford the pleasure of tasting a refreshing coffee. This humble gesture is our way of showing respect for the needy,” said Farhad C, director of the hospitality division of Thumbay Group.
