Mumbai: Rangamilana Nirekare artistes celebrate anniversary

Mumbai, Apr 5: Rangamilana Nirekare artistes celebrated their fifth anniversary at Dr M Vishweshwaraiah auditorium at Matunga west on Sunday April 3.























Kannada Kalakendra Mumbai president Bailoor Balachandra Rao presided over the programme. Businessman, Bunts Sangha Mumbai joint treasurer Mahesh S Shetty lit the traditional lamp and set the programme in motion. Santhooru Santhinja Janardhan Bhat blessed the occasion.

Guests of honour advocate B Mohiddin Mundkooru, Chitra R Shetty Kalyan, Anil S Shetty Elinje, Dayananda Poojary Kalva, Prabhakar Hegde Navimumbai, Shekar P Shetty Dahisar, Mohandas A Poojary, Nilesh Poojary Palimaru, Shekar Shetty Vamadapadavu, Santhosh Hegde Ajekar were present.

The guests honoured senior stage artiste, poet and multifaceted author Mohammed Baddooru with Abhanava Dhronacharya title. Priya Sarojadevi was honored with Abhinaya Bhargavi title. Dr Shiva Moodigere and Apeksha V Shetty honored them. The children of artistes were presented scholarships on the occasion.

Nirekare artistes association president Manohar Shetty Nandalike welcomed all the guests. Umesh Hegde Kadthala gave the keynote address. Treasurer Ganesh Rao Padubidri, joint secretary Shubhangi S Shetty, joint treasurer Kishore Shetty Pilaru, Harish Poojary Kasargod, Srikanth Shetty Udupi, Irvathur Suresh Poojary, Suresh Shetty Nitte honored the guests by presenting flower bouquets. Vice president Harini S Shetty Kaup and Prathibha Bangera introduced the guests. Dramatist Nagaraj Gurupura compered the programme. Secretary Rahim Sacharipete proposed the vote of thanks.

Rangamilana Nirekare artistes together with Prabhuddha Kalavider artistes presented 'Aina Aand Budth Budle', a tulu drama written by Veeraj Nandikooru and directed by Manohar Shetty Nandalike.
