Mangaluru: Lookout notice issued at airports to nab Naresh Shenoy

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru

Updated

Mangaluru, Apr 6: Widening the net for the arrest of absconding Yuva Brigade leader Naresh Shenoy in connection to the murder of RTI activist Vinayak Baliga, the police on Wednesday April 6 issued lookout notices in all major airports of the country.

Vinayak Baliga was hacked to death near his house at Kala Kunj Road, Kodialbail on March 21. Since then, Naresh Shenoy, who is said to be the prime suspect in the case, has gone missing. The police even raided his house a few days back.

Baliga's family have expressed suspicions that he might have already fled to the Gulf, while some others say he is preparing to go abroad.

The police had issued notice to Naresh Shenoy to appear for questioning, but the latter failed to do so. His house at VT Road was then raided but he was not to be found. Two teams of CCB police were then sent to Goa and Andaman Islands, as there were suspicions that he and other accused might have fled to these places.

Now, with no clue about the whereabouts of Naresh Shenoy, the police have issued lookout notices for him in all the major airports in the country, so that he would be arrested if he tried to move out of the country.

Source also said that Naresh Shenoy has applied for anticipatory bail from the high court, and the police have urged the court not to accept his plea. Unconfirmed sources said that a non-bailable warrant has been issued against him and two other accused, but the police declined to confirm the same.

A few days back, the police issued lookout notices for two other suspects, namely Srikanth and Shiva alias Shivu, who are yet to be arrested. It is said that Srikanth, a former right-wing activist, was hired by Naresh Shenoy for managing hostels run by him. Srikanth had allegedly contacted Shivu to hire contract killers to murder Baliga, and Shivu had in turn hired people to execute the murder plan. At the same time, another person named Vignesh, also working for Shenoy, had allegedly helped the killers to flee in a Qualis driven by him.

Mangaluru: No political pressure over arrest of Naresh Shenoy: Police chief

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (SP)

Mangaluru, Apr 6: City police commissioner, Chandra Sekhar, said that the police do not have information about Naresh Shenoy, founder of Yuva Brigade, who the police believe had a hand in the murder of RTI activist, Vinayak Pandurang Baliga on March 21 in the city, leaving the country.

The father of the slain activist had said he believes that Naresh Shenoy had escaped to Dubai.

"Five police teams have been formed to hunt for five absconding persons who have been accused of involvement in this murder. These teams have been continuing with the search operations. Our investigating teams have also visited other states and sought cooperation from the police departments of these states," he explained.

At the same time, he denied having been under any kind of political pressure relating to the arrest of Naresh Shenoy.

Naresh Shenoy, who is close to Sangh Parivar, is said to be in constant touch with some of the union ministers. It is also reported that he has approached the state high court with an application for anticipatory bail.

I really feel pity about the future of a young promising guy from M'lore.

Every responsible Hindu parents must take note of the side effect of hatred, vengeance, enmity etc.,

In spite of these human weaknesses are made to embrace and embed among present generation to exercise against others, the reality is sooner than later they come to haunt back to us. "what goes around comes around" ...., be it good or bad..!!!

I am not judgmental on anybody as we all know that in Hindustan., - every accused is innocent till he/she is proved guilty by the competent court.

Naresh Shenoy had personal friendship with Narendra Modi since the time Modi came to Mangalore in 2014 to campaign for LS election.
So when Modi went to Saudi Arabia to take Selfie with TCS employees in Saudi recently, whether Naresh Shenoy went out of the country in the same plane?

I understand Naresh is very influential and has high level contacts. Who is helping Shivu, Vignesh and Srikanth? Is it possible they deliberately confined so that police don't get the information from them. I am worried about them. Anything can happen in politics so that the powerful can become more powerful. It is high time to realize that top politicians use grass root workers especially not belonging to so called higher cast.

    @ Krishna,

An out of the box thought (a true mangalorean/chanakya brain) that something investigating agencies also needs to take a look at..,

Without prejudice.., probably Naresh Shenoy may be the front ..., b'coz may be in the best interest of these high & mighty the Naresh Shenoy may be made to escape or your out of the box suspicion ....? (if i am not mistaken such similarities may be drawn to vyapam case of MP).

If you really want to help Mr. Baligaji please help his family as they are not financially sound.
My sincere request is all those who are a part of the conspiracy be caught ASAP and brought to justice. Need strict laws to make sure that RTI activists are safe in this country.

If he left the country no matter, dept can easily trace out from airport immigration record.Even if he is in DUBAI, through INDIAN EMBASSY they can approach DUBAI police and nab him with in couple of minutes.
Fact, political buggers should not involve. He may have support from some communal crime group to slip out that should be tightened by state govt.

NaMo Nari need not worry about Law & order. He has strong backing of Sangh Parivar top leaders & huge following of blind brainwashed bhakths.

Currently he is hiding in rat hole & waiting for 'Clean-chit' certificate & once he gets it, he will appear in front of police like Hero. No wonder, if Brigade organizes a Heroic welcome to him with colorful rally in the city!

His close friend, who is a 'Master in Brainwashing' is started working day night, to get Bhakth's sympathy on Nari, by posting brainwashing messages on FB, in favor of Nari!!

Sanghees, not only will make Nari a Hero, but also increase his possibility for next 'Mangalore MLA Candidature'!!!
