Rakhi Sawant's solution to curb suicides - 'Ban ceiling fans'

Mumbai, Apr 6 (Agencies): Bollywood actress Rakhi Sawant had a rather unique request for Prime Minister Narendra Modi: ban ceiling fans from homes.

Demanding Rs 5 crore in compensation for Pratyusha Banerjee’s family, Sawant on Tuesday said that banning ceiling fans from homes is more important than chanting ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’.

"Banning ceiling fans is more important than chanting ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’ because many daughters and daughters-in-law are committing," said Sawant.

Addressing a press conference in Mumbai, she urged people to use a table fan or an air conditioner instead of a ceiling fan.

"I want Prime Minster Narendra Modi to ban all ceiling fans and request people to use table fans and air-conditioning units as most people who commit suicide end up hanging themselves from fans.

"Whoever loves their daughter, I appeal to them to remove fans from their homes. Instead keep a table fan or an AC," said Sawant, adding, "I will donate around 5000 table fans to those who cannot afford it."

She also claimed that Pratyusha Banerjee was murdered and her boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh used to torture her.

"Rahul used to torture her, I used to tell him not to do this," said Sawant.

What an idiotic solution by Rakhi Sawant. I have no other words to express on this insensible idea. I do not know how she got this idea. Tomorrow she will tell PM Modi to break down big building, no railways, no roads and so on as people can commit suicide.

hahaha... this is only partial news... the best part you missed here...

Journalist's next question to Rakhi was : “Divya Bharti (Actress) fell from a high-rise building. Are you saying that people should stop constructing tall buildings?”

Rakhi responded “If Smriti Irani asked you to remove fans, you would listen to her. You are making fun now because I’m saying so,”!

Though I am not a 'FAN' of Rakhi, her view on Smriti Irani was true!

Sawant should be immediately inducted as a national security advisor or in HRD ministry. she must be allowed to visit all homes for replacing the fans with AC's.
