Mangaluru, Apr 7: 'Red FM Tulu Film Awards-2016' will be a grand affair with Bollywood celebrities like actors Sohail Khan, Suniel Shetty, and director Rohit Shetty and others to take part, said RJ Prasanna of 93.5 Red FM radio network.

The 'Red FM Tulu Film Awards - 2016' will be presented in a grand event to be held on Saturday April 9 at 5.30 pm at Karavali Utsav ground.

"The Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented by Shree K Padma Vibhushan Dr D Veerendra Heggade. Bollywood celebrities like Suniel Shetty, Rohit Shetty, Sohail Khan and many others will take part in this event," said RJ Prasanna, addressing a press meet here on Thursday, April 7.

"The event is being organized by 93.5 Red FM and will feature top film celebrities from city who have made the mark in Bollywood and Sandalwood. This event is also meant to encourage and provide a platform for talents in the Tulu film industry," Prasanna added.

The awards will be conferred in 22 different categories including ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’. As many as 15 Tulu movies released between June 2014 and December 2015 will be considered for the awards.

A panel of Bollywood experts will judge the nominations and select the best performer in each category. In popular categories, public voting is also considered. The event will feature live power-packed performances by Tulu film celebrities.

Anuragh, Raghav, Yashraj and Shobith Shetty from Red FM were present at the press meet.
