Mumbai: Winners of global Kannada poetry competition announced

Mumbai, Apr 11: 'Nesaru', monthly mouthpiece of Mysore Association, here held a global Kannada poetry competition recently. The following participants of the competition were declared winners:

Chaitrika Sridhar Hegde, Harsikatta, Siddapura – first prize
Chaya Bhagavathi, Vijayanagara, Bengaluru – second prize
Veena Badiger, Belagavi – third prize

Consolation prizes:
Ganapathi Deevana, Ambalpady, Udupi and Ramachandra Pai, Moodbidri.

Well known poets B S Kurkal and Dr H S Venkatesh Murthy were the judges, said Mysore Association president, K Kamala at a press release.
