Mangaluru: 'Planning...Devachem' Konkani movie completes first phase of shooting

Mangaluru, Apr 13: Shooting lasting 15 days for the first phase of the third Konkani movie of the year, 'Planning.....Devachem', which has kicked up lot of curiosity and expectations, has been concluded. A number of scenes involving artistes in major roles in the movie, including the hero, heroine, second heroine and supporting actors were shot at Colva beach, Goa and places nearby. Artistes from Goa, Karwar, Mangaluru, Honnavar and other places acted in these scenes.

Fr Oscar Quadros delivered benedictory address at the inaugural shooting for the first phase. Auditor of Trinity Films and friend of producer Severino Fernandes, Angie Rosario sounded the clap for the initial shot.

Sevrino Fernandes from Goa, who is producing this movie under the banner of Trinity Films, happens to be the producer of this film. The movie, based on a story by him, is being directed by N Rajesh Fernandes from Karwar. Rajesh is backed by the experience of directing movies like Paadri, Manmatha, and CID Isha in the past. Vinay Rafael happens to be the music director for the film.

Konkani and Marathi actor, Tapan Acharya, is the leading actor of this movie. Cicil and Seema Buthello are the heroines. Actors like Eddie Fernandes, Stany Alvares, Prince Jacob, John D'Silva, Rons London and others are appearing in different roles. Shooting for this movie will be done in places like Mangaluru, Honnavar, Karwar and Goa. Along with well-known artistes from Mangaluru and Goa, several new faces will make their appearance in this movie.

Songs of this movie have been penned by central Sahitya Academy award wining poet, Melvyn Rodrigues, Wilson Kateel, and Arthur Pereira Ommoor. Famous Konkani singers, Claude D'Souza, Anita D'Souza, Babita Pinto, Senet D'Cunha, Prajoth D'Sa and Ahswin D'Cunha will be playback singers for this film.

N Ramesh Babu is the cinematographer for this movie. Editing will be attended by Shivu. Thriller Manju will be in charge of stunts, while advertisement designing is being handled by Pinto Vamanjoor.

Second phase of shooting for the movie will be undertaken during mid-April. In this phase, shooting will be undertaken at Karwar and Honnavar. Final phase of shooting will take place in Mangaluru and surrounding areas.
