Beltangady, Oct 11: The concluding ceremony of a week-long Bhajan training workshop was held at Dharmasthala on Tuesday October 9.

Dr D Veerendra Heggade, Dharmadhikari of Dharmasthala, presided over the programme. Speaking on this occasion, he said that, one should practice his religion, rituals and other religious practices within his home only. In general, all are equal, irrespective of his religion, he opined.

Senior dramatist Master Hirannaiah and comedy actor Hiremagalore Kannan, Shri Mohandas Swamiji of Manila Shridham, High Court judge Ananda Baira Reddy, Shanta Hirannaiah, D Harshendrakumar, Supriya Harshendrakumar, Hemavati V Heggade and S Prabhakar were the chief guests of the occasion.

B Sitaram Tolpadittaya welcomed the gathering. M Vasant Salian presented the report. Swarna Ramesh of Tipatur and Gopalkrishna of Bantwal shared their experiences about the workshop. Ratnavarma Jain proposed vote of thanks. Prakash Moodittaya compered the programme.

A total of 181 trainees from 101 Bhajan associations from to Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Chikmaglur, Uttar Kannada, Shimoga and Bangalore districts participated in this workshop. A procession was taken out during the concluding ceremony. More than two thousand eople participated in this procession.
