Mangalore: Hero Honda’s Bike-a-Thon Flagged-off in City

Mangalore, Oct 12: As part of Hero Honda’s  nationwide celebratory campaign titled ‘Hero Honda Country,’ a bike rally was flagged off from the Town Hall premises here on Friday October 12 morning.

Hero Honda, the world’s leading manufacturer of two-wheelers has touched a production target of 2 crore bikes recently. Therefore, to celebrate this milestone, this rally has been organized from all four corners of the country.

Manoj V Baadkar, chief commandant of the Coast Guard in Karnataka, graced the event and flagged off the rally. Nithin Rathod, deputy commandant of the Coast Guard, Mohammad Rafiq of West Coast Motors and Rama Rao were present on this occasion.

Speaking to ‘daijiworld.com,’ Kalyan Jamblekar, one of the riders of Silver Racing Team of Nashik, who also happens to be a participant in this bike rally, opined that Hero Honda bikes achieved the record production target of 2 crore bike mainly because of superb mileage and the top quality service offered by the company.

Further, Jamblekar stated that one out of every 50 persons in India owns a Hero Honda bike now. This has become possible only because of the reliability and introduction of new technologies by the Company, he declared.

The rally will culminate in Delhi after 16 days of ‘Hero Honda Bike-a-Thon’. In the course of this rally, the bikes participating in it will pass through several cities in India, before reaching New Delhi, he informed.
