it would be a wise step to have all heavy vehicle drivers to have a bank deposit of at least 2 lakh with the RTC so that they if they abscond, this if forfeited to the victim's family. this will have the added benefit of they driving with caution.

Riding two wheelers are totally at the mercy of other vehicles as we do not have two way roads
So daily riding more than 10kms especially outside city limits where trucks and buses drive at over speed is risking life

Until and unless everyone follow the traffic rules and regulations this sort of accidents bound to happen. Everyone is in a hurry disregarding the safety notion. Most of the drivers are ignorant of traffic rules. In accident cases the real culprit goes scot-free because of our system. May the Almighty give strength to bear the loss to the bereaved family.

Travelling on Road is become difficult Day-by-day especially two wheeler. many of us not afford to by car will take two wheelers to earn there daily Bread. There should be separate track to two wheelers and there should be stringent action to be taken on people who do Rash and negligence driving, kill innocents.

RIP sister. unless and until the rules/regulations change driving on any kind of roads will lead to accidents to due reckless driving. heavy vehicles rarely follow basic traffic rules.compared to the western world when it comes to driving we are centuries behind.driving in a lane, signal lights when overtaking or changing lanes, slowing down the vehicle and keeping a far enough distance between etc if these basics are not followed then we will never become like the west.We come across dangerous driving and still no measures are taken. sad.

@Salvador- if you recreate the accident scene, truck was hit from behind , bike was also moving at some speed so relative speed is less so it was mostly run over or dragged to some distance before applying brakes by truck. So 2 wheeler was indeed at the middle of the road.

very sad sight.May the departed soul rest in peace. Passed that route just after the accident. This accident would have easily averted, if the Tipper driver would have at a lesser speed at that sharp curve. The recent widening of the very road near the accident site is not scientific, till one reaches near the accident spot, further road is not visible due to the hillock adjacent to the road which blocks the sight. If the concern authorities do not take immediate action( to clear off the hillock tip) many more such accident will definitely take place at the very spot.
District administration should take all necessary precautions while widening the roads. The 4 Wheeler's simply fly off ignoring the two wheeler's and ultimately two wheeler riders are sacrificing their life.

If RTO pass rule - Maximum speed limit 30 KM/h for all tipper lorries, I think it will reduce the number of accidents like this.
Also I see that the road technology is not correct in that place. No speed controller like humps, Broad, new one way road for 200 meter then sudden "L" turn to single road.

This not the fault of the Driver, if the license is given without proper test, things will be taken for granted. Any one who can hold steering wheel and accelerate can get a license. If you ask the driver about traffic signs he is totally blind. A driver is perfect when he know all the rules with perfection in steering. In India it is like "Ande lude fouj me doude, gir pade fir bi doude".

    RIP

I am sure if still Karnataka Traffic Police department sleep, then there is the days are nearer, people will be killed on roads like street dogs and no one will care.

Inspite of daily deaths on road due to accidents , our Karavali Police department taking no positive action.

Due to booming construction, tippers are increased on raod and they don't care of other vehicles. Because Tipper drivers are not the owners of the vehicle and they want to take maximum number of trips to earn more.

Most of the Tipper drivers even not following the Traffic rules like

    1. Not covering the tipper with load of soil

    2. Rear side registration numbers are not visible

    3. Driving on fast tracks by blocking the rear side vehicles without giving them way

    No one stops them?

This is our Karavali Traffic Police....Shame on you
