Dubai, Apr 20: Kannadigaru Dubai in association with Balaji Builders and Precious Parties & Entertainment Services presented a melodious event 'Sangeeta Saurabha' spiced up with a motivational talk show recently at JSS International School, Al Barsha, Dubai in a jam-packed auditorium.

The programme started with Gautham and Madhavi Prasad welcoming the audience and the latter rendered the invocation song beautifully. Association president Mallikarjuna Gowda along with the guest artistes, committee members (both sub and ex-committee) came on to the stage and lit the traditional lamp to inaugurated the event. Mallikarjuna Gowda welcomed the audience in his own style.

The programme got a good start with Mithun Chakravarty Sulibele, a popular motivational orator who came all the way from India, delivering the special important message 'Namma Bharata Mahaan' to all the Kannadigas in UAE. The Honnavar-born Chakravarty, mentor of Yuva Brigade, spread the spirit of 'Mera Bharat Mahan', orating and motivating the audience on the richness of the "greatest and most tolerant country in the world which provides and still stands tall as an example for the rest to follow". He enlightened Kannadigas on the Kannada alphabet and consonants which unlike others are unique mainly because when you pronounce them, surprisingly you will see that they start from the nasal and end on the lips and never get repeated. He shared a lot of knowledge from the Vedas, Upanishads, Ramayan, culture, literature, Swamy Vivekananda to science and modern living. He enlightened the audience that 'India is not the country that you think it is, it is much more than your thoughts'.

"Today the whole universe has accepted the fact that India is the only motherland of the world and almost 99% of the people have agreed to this, but unfortunately the only 1% that has doubts is we ourselves. You have come out of India to make a better living but one day for sure you will all come back, agreeing that India is the only country for better living and that the day is not too far if you go by the speed of development currently going on." he concluded. Hearing the 'Bharath Darshan' motivational speech the audience were spellbound and got enriched with the honour of being born in their motherland.

He was honoured with Mysore Peta, bouquet, fruit basket, memento and felicitation letter by the organisers.

Guest artiste Inchara Rao, former president of the Association Sadhan Das, and Iranna Mulimane for his contribution to Kannada literature and poem were feliciated with shawls, bouquets and mementos. Sponsors were honoured with shawl and mementos and media representatives were also honoured on the stage.

In the second half, Gautham Athreyas took over the stage and introduced the talented guest singer Inchara Rao along with her musicians who came all the way from Karnataka.

Inchara performed various foot-tapping numbers including 'Denana Denana', 'Kareyole' from the latest hit Kannada film 'Rangeetaranga', music director C Ashwath's folk numbers including Raghu Dixit's hit numbers all in Kannada which tempted not only the children but also the adults to get up from their seats and join the dance floor.

The executive committee members including Uma Vidyadhar, Sadhan Das, Mallikarjuna Gowda, Veerendra Babu, Nataraj Chikkappa, Shiva Kumar, Dr Mohan Kudur and the sub-committee members including Mallikarjuni Angadi, Barath, Balaji, Balu, Chandrakanth, Chandra Shekar, Srinivas Urs, Vinith, Mamatha and Anitha worked hard for the success of the event.

The programme concluded with lucky draw and vote of thanks by the president.
