Udupi, Apr 24: "Asia's biggest T10 hard tennis ball cricket tournament 'Udupi Premier League T10, 2016' will be inaugurated on Tuesday, April 26 at MGM grass grounds, Udupi," said Santosh Padubidri, joint secretary of UPL-2016.
Addressing a press meet at Brahmagiri here on Saturday, April 23, Santosh Padubidri said, "Udupi Cricket Club is hosting this T10 hard tennis ball tournament for the first time in cricket history. Chairman of UPL T10-2016 and Udupi MLA Pramod Madhwaraj will inaugurate the event. Sadhiq Kaup of Udupi Cricket Club will preside over the programme.
"As part of the tournament, a grand procession will be taken from the city bus stand to MGM grounds in the evening. One match will be played on the inaugural day and the rest of the matches will held from April 27 to May 1. A sum of Rs 1.30 crore is being spent on the tournament," he added.
