Minister hopeful of bringing out PU result on May 2 or 3

Daijiworld Media Network - Davanagere (SP)

Davanagere, Apr 25: State primary and secondary education minister, Kimmane Ratnakar, has expressed confidence about being able to publish PU second year result on May 2 or 3.

Addressing a press conference here on Sunday April 24, the minister said that normally answer sheet evaluation work takes about 12 days. He said that the result would be out at the earliest, and it would be ensured that the protest by evaluators would not delay publication of the result.

"Ten persons, who are the main accused in chemistry question paper leakage scandal, stand arrested. The guilty will be punished without fear or favour. There is no question of shielding anyone. This is not the first instance of question paper leakage, and question paper had leaked even as far back as in 1963 itself, and the question paper had been exhibited in the Vidhan Sabha then. We are taking stringent steps to ensure that question paper leakage does not happen ever again," he clarified.

About the news making the rounds on granting of grace marks in mathematics subject, the minster said that there is no question of allotting any grace marks in this subject, as none of the question papers were from outside the syllabus.

Results cannot be given as expressed by minister. The valuation will go up to 4 the may. Final tabulation requires few days. So hopefully by second week of may.

    Dear Mr Kimmane Ratnakarji,

Why do you want to give students sleepless nights before CET?

Please announce the results after CET exams. So that atleast in CET, they do well. Their board exams are anyways screwed because of out of syllabus questions and paper leaks. This is my humble request.

    Regards,

    Dr. Ananth Prabhu G
