Dubai, Oct 21: Two prominent Tulu artistes belonging to the `Kala Sangama Kudla' group, writer/director Vijaya Kumar Kodialbail and senior artiste Rohini Jagaram have been honoured by Daiji Rang Mandir. This is an association promoting theatre activities and artistes in UAE under the leadership of Dayan D'Souza and founder Hemacharya, irrespective of any language, caste or creed.

Kala Sangama, Kudla team is currently on a visit to Dubai and has successfully staged a Tulu comedy hit play 'Madime' on Oct 19 which drew in huge crowds at the venue.

The felicitation program for Vijay Kumar and Rohini Jagaram was held at Silver Bhavan Hall in Karama on Sunday 21, 2007 at 8 pm. Dony Correa compered the event and welcomed the gathering.


Daiji Dubai and Daiji Rang Mandir supporters cum entrepreneurs Mrs Natalia Madtha honoured Rohini Jagaram with momento and Michael Dsouza felicitated Vijaykumar Kodialbail.  While Shantaram Achar introduced Rohin Jagaram, Dayan D'Souza introduced Vijay Kumar to the audience.












Both artistes shared their theatre experience and answered interesting questions from Daiji Rang Mandir members. The event in-fact provided a valuable opportunity for gaining knowledge about theatre art.

Daiji Dubai convener Hemacharya and Daiji Rang Mandir convener Dayan D'Souza also spoke on the occasion.
