Dubai, Oct 23: Count down ….. 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 more days to go. Stage is yet to be set up at the Al Rashidiya Ballroom, Al Bustan Rotana Hotel Dubai on Thursday morning of 25 October 2007. Tables for 1000 seating are still to be beautifully arranged at the venue. But all the invitations are grabbed by the well wishers well in advance of the D-day,.
Yes, it shows that not only “SMKC DUBAI CARES’” for the poor and the needy but also the well wishers and benevolent donors are always ready to support hand in hand their annual fund raising event. The motto to reach out to care and share is well reciprocated!! SMKC Dubai has a built the credibility to spread those ““RAYS of HOPE & RAINBOWS OF JOY” to the poorest of the poor.
The beautiful ambience of the Al Rashidiya Ballroom will present the glittering event on 25 October 2007 from 8.30 PM onwards. Favourite songs and music from the 1970s, 1980s, 1990, 2000…….and the dance lovers will be able to perform their best – jives, rock n roll, twist, waltz, salsa…. Young and old will love to put on their dancing shoes and do “twist, cha cha, salsa, foxtrot………..” The much awaited musical extravaganza will unfold into its fullest glory.
The famous band “CASCADES” from GOA are flying into Dubai On Tuesday, 23 October and will rock you till the early hours of next morning, playing the best of numbers from 1970 to 2007.
Ivan D’lima had already flown in from Canada for the occasion this week and will compere along with sensational, vivacious co-hostess Annie Menezes from Sharjah.

Ivan D’lima was the one and only lovable and endearing MC in the Dubai tinsel town during 1990s whether for Corporate parties or Association events. Yes, this is the first time, he has flown into Dubai from Canada to compere for any shows since he left the UAE and this time for the premier UAE association in town – SMKC Dubai’s most glittering extravaganza - “REWIND ’07-70”. His sense of humour and unique style & charming personality was enough to set the ball rolling. SMKC Dubai missed having him to host the show as it all began in 2001 and has carved a name since then among the society and community not only in the UAE & in India but globally too. So here he is, to present to you his best, seasoned and dynamic show hosting.
Annie Menezes is a young competent crowd puller with a rich background of a professional compere in the UAE. Being a lady, she uses all her charm and grace to run events on a high success rate. She has a vibrant, energetic, bubbly personality and has a great skill of keeping an audience entertained regardless of time.
So put on your dancing shoes, you Sunday best clothes and come in full gear to dance away all your blues on 25 October, 2007, Thursday evening.
