Dispatch ministers on visit to drought-hit areas, Governor tells CM

Daijiworld Media Nework - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, May 10: Governor of Karnataka, Vajubhai Vala, has patted the back of chief minister (CM), Siddaramaiah, for the interest he has evinced in visiting drought-hit regions of the state and listening to the problems of affected people. At the same time, he has asked the CM to send his ministerial colleagues to districts reeling under drought conditions and undertake remedial measures.

Sources said that the Governor conveyed this instruction to the CM by way of a letter. "The work being undertaken by you to address the drought situation in the state is worth appreciating. At the same time, it is observed that your cabinet colleagues have not been giving proper attention to this issue," he observed in the letter, duly asking the CM to direct the district-in-charge minsters to tour their respective districts, get abreast of the ground realities, and undertake relief works, it is gathered.

As per information, the Governor noted that there is a need to undertake drought relief works on a war footing as providing succour and support to people facing dire situation is the need of the hour. He has told the CM that there is an imperative need for the government to work as a cohesive team to address the issue, sources added.

    Dear Governor,

    Chickens have bird flue.

Kindly order Siddharamaiah to import cattle or beef from Gujarat to the drought hit areas. Specially to Mangalore and Udupi.

There are many pretending cattle thieves in the twin districts and beef has become costly.

Governor and CM should give high priority to the water problem. CM should closely monitor the situation and see that problem is tackled well. People's prime necessity is water and if Govt neglect this area they will be punished severely in the next election.

In the lines of Governor, President of India also advice our P.M. Modi and other cabinet Ministers as well,
To visit and bring relief to ALL drought hit areas of our country. Like they do to visit election bound states whenever some incidents happen there.
But people may note, some dignitaries will visit, only if there is an election.
