Mangalore: One-day Seminar on Job Opportunities held

Mangalore, Oct 23: “The people of undivided Dakshina Kannada district are highly ambitious in nature. There is no other community in India, which is highly ambitious like us. That is why we are one of the most successful people in the world, said Vishwanath Mada, president of the Jayashreekrishna Parisara Premi Samiti.

Speaking at one-day seminar on “Commercial and Public Sector and Industrial Development, Job opportunity for DK and Udupi district Students”, jointly organized by All College Students’ Association and Jayashreekrishna Parisara Premi Samiti, he said that industries are necessary in coastal Karnataka. But the upcoming industries should give 50% of their employment to the locals, he informed. There is no compromise in this issue, he added.

Thonse Jayakrishna Shetty, founder president of the Samiti, said that the so called environmentalists bring money from abroad and oppose the industrialization here with no reason. Even the politicians here support these environmentalists only for votes, he accused.

Basically the Bunts and Mogaveera community people are opposing the Nagarjuna project here. But the Samiti has convinced these community people. Hence, the setting up of Nagarjuna project is going on smoothly now, he informed.

Speaking on the occasion, Sameer P M, business unit manager, Fullerton India Credit Company Ltd, said that everybody will get their piece of cake through industrialization. But assuring of proper rehabilitation for the displaced persons is the responsibility of the government, he asserted.

Jaya C Suvarna, president of Billava Maha Mandali inaugurated the programme. Anand Ganiga, Felix D’Souza, Shanker Suvarna, Anilkumar, Jagadish Adhikari, Shrijith, Kamaruddin, Dr Prabhakar Shetty, Tulasidas Amin, Shastri, G T Acharya, Harishkumar and others were present on the dais.

Dharmapal Devadiga delivered the introductory remarks. Ramachandra Baikampady proposed the vote of thanks. Nithyananda Kotian compered the programme.
