Basaveshwaranagar police had booked the four women or assaulting a government servant along with other charges. They submitted a chargesheet at the fifth additional chief metropolitan magistrate where the trail was held.

The court also slapped Rs 3,000 fine on Mythriya and Rs 2,000 each fine on other three for the same offence in addition to the imprisonment.

The lawyers representing Mythriya immediately applied for the bail, as the sentence of less than 3 years, allowed the convicts to do so. The court granted them bail as per the law.

The convicts are expected to appeal the present verdict in a higher court.
