Bengaluru, May 14: A woman, who was facing case relating to posing threats and attacking a woman to whom she had lent money, escaped from the hospital where she was lodged for treatment, the very next day. She gave the policemen a slip when their attention was diverted.

After Subrahmanyapura police here registered a case against her, history-sheeter, Yashaswini, got admitted into a private hospital, claiming that she was suffering from chest pain. Thereafter, two police personnel had been posted to keep watch on her. Yashaswini fled from the hospital when the police personnel were reportedly busy discussing her discharge from the hospital. The hospital staff found that she was not in her room, and she had removed hospital clothes before leaving.

It is said that the only possible escape route she had was through the main entrance. It is not clear at what time she escaped from the hospital. It is gathered that the police have formed three teams to hunt for her.

It is gathered that Yashaswini from Hulimavu has been in the business of financing. She used to lend at exorbitant rates of interest, it is said. On Wednesday night, Yashaswini went to Kothanur, where she met Tayamma, and demanded repayment of loan with interest. When Tayamma sought more time, she abused her in filthy language and also assaulted her, as per the complaint filed by Tayamma, who claims that she had borrowed one lac rupees from the lender for meeting medical expenses, but was finding it hard to repay high rate of interest that was being charged by Yashaswini.
