Mangaluru: Dolla's ‘Haskule’, CGS' 'Chokletam' books released

Mangaluru, May 15: 'Has Has Haskule’ written by Dolla, a compilation of 150 jokes and 'Chokletam' by CGS Thaccode, a collection of humourous articles, were released here at bishop Jathanna hall on Saturday, May 14. The books were unveiled by James Mendonca, NRI entrepreneur and Walter Nandalike, MD of Daijiworld group, respectively.

Addressing the gathering Dolla and CJS thanked all the sponsors, readers and people who supported in publishing the books.





































Walter Nandalike speaking on the occasion said "It is a great honour to be here. Artist Dolla reached every person's heart through his comedy at the time when there was no television. It is high time that we take him to the stature he deserves. I thank James Mendonca for taking the initiative and helping Dolla to publish this book. CGS has always encouraged budding writers. I congratulate both Dolla and CGS on the launching of their books."

Founder of Konkani Kutam Bahrain, Richard Moras said "It is happy occasion as Dolla and CGS released their books today. I hope these books will increase the reading habits of people."

James Mendonca in his presidential address said "I thank Dolla and CGS for giving me a opportunity to preside over this function. Both are very good artists. Many people have financially supported in publishing this book. I thank all of them for their support. I wish all the best to both the comedians."

Meena Rebimbus, Edi Netto, Konkani Sahithya academy president Roy Castelino, Fr Pius D'Souza, Manu Bahrain, Fr Richard Lasrado and Hemacharya were present among others.

Leslie Rego compered the programme. There was a magic show by Satish Hemmady after the book release.

    Congratulations Mr.Dolla Bab and CGS Bab!!on getting your books published!!!
    Precious few have had the courage to write on the challenges of environmental our Konkani culture.
    You have written an excellent books that should raise lots of eyebrows.
    Of course much of your subjects was your own hard - won experience in the matter. Nevertheless, you must have done a wheelbarrow full of research. I admire you.
    I guess this means, we will be seeing more of you in the print media from now on. I salute you both.
    Nice to see "the power of media- legend- Konan Arnab Goswami " DAIJIWORLD M.D . Mr. Walter Nandalike". Appreciate him as he made all Konkan world to meet in one dais.
