All the comments on this article/news report being positive and factually true, I beg to disagree with the 'disagrees'.

The only explanation to the 'disagrees' could be a 'technical problem' in the tick-boxes. During my short interaction with Most Revd. Dr. Aloysius D'Souza (at Cascia Parish in the mid-1990s), we were very fortunate to experience his most dignified, gracious, humble and affectionate nature. We sincerely wish & pray that The Almighty may bless him in all possible ways, so that he continues to lead the Mangaluru Diocese in a most effective manner.

Dear Bishop Aloysius, Please accept our hearty congratulations on your successful completion of twenty years as the Bishop of Mangalore. What a marvelous gift that God gave to our beloved Diocese thru your able and wise leadership thru which you reached out tens of thousands of people, not only Catholics but many other faiths too and extended your help and your friendship.

You have been a special gift from God for our Diocese of Mangalore, and the entire Diocese has enjoyed your leadership that has benefited so many thousands not only in their religious needs but also in many of their personal grievances.

We were there in Mangalore when Bishop Albert D'Souza went for his heavenly rewards, and you took over the Diocese with zeal and courage, and you moved forward with ability to mastermind so many noble deeds that has helped Mangalore to move forward ten fold.

Under your capable leadership in Mangalore, we noticed a Medical College, an Engineering College and many other Educational, Social and Economical Institutions that have benefited the people.

Administering dozens of Parishes throughout the Diocese and allocating the right priests and nuns to take care of the people and their varied needs is not an easy task. Surrounded by many other faiths and satisfying many of their needs and desires has also been a difficult task. We live in a densely populated secular society where each and every situation has to be tackled with precision and dignity so that no one is left behind, and no one is neglected. This is the kind of leadership that you have single handedly managed with the help of your handful of associates and friends.

May God continue to take good care of you, dear Bishop Aloysius, and may you continue to remain healthy so that the Diocese will continue to enjoy your kind leadership and move forward with our journey of faith and journey of God's laid out plans for all of us as Catholics and many others that we surround with. God bless.
