Bengaluru: SSLC result to be announced on Monday

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, May 16: Much-expected SSLC result will be out at 3 pm today with the announcement being made at the appointed time by state minister for primary and secondary education, Kimmane Ratnakar, at a press conference. The result will be published through websites thereafter. Schools will publish results on Tuesday.

Director in the department of secondary education examination board, Yashoda Bopanna, confirmed that results will be available in respective schools by 10 am on Tuesday. She said that result is also being provided through SMS.

The result will be published in two websites, www.kseeb.kar.nic.in, and http://kar.results.nic.in. It is said that the government has taken care this time to publish result only through government websites, having learnt a bitter lesson out of publication of PU result by a private website last year.

The second PU result is expected to be out on the 20th of this month, it is gathered.

S.S.L.C. during our days in the mid 50's was a Gateway to success in all our career goals and aspirations.

S.S.L.C. results in those days was coming from Madras University since the State of Karnataka was non-existent.

S.S.L.C. results were very valuable in those days because the Engineering Colleges were in their primitive stages after India's Independence. Therefore S.S.L.C. was very important for us to get ourselves involved with a suitable career opportunity.

S.S.L.C. results were initially published in a Maliyali paper called "Maathra Bhoomy" from where all the information was gathered and then published in each School Boards.

We still possess our S.S.L.C. document which was slightly smaller than the "Ration Card". This document enabled us to seek a career opportunity in order to seek our daily bread and provide support for our parents. We went to our High School bare footed in those days. We had hardly any city busses hence we walked on foot to school and came back the same way. By so doing, we joined many our school mates for a long walk to school and back home.

When the rainy season started we had to make sure that our umbrellas were fit for use. Our parents always bought for us larger size of umbrellas so that whenever we find any student who did not have an umbrella we could and we should provide him the shelter under our umbrella and assist one another. This is where we learnt the beauty of "caring and sharing".

Those were the simple days of our life with simple parents and simple homes, but there was plenty of peace and plenty of harmony all around.

Seeking an early career opportunity immediately after we got a passing grade from the High School was a blessing, blessing for ourselves and blessings for our family as well.

Thank you, God, for giving us the S.S.L.C. Degree that enabled us virtually a "Key to Heaven". Namaskhaar and God Bless.

if am not wrong couple of days before same minister kimmane told result may announce on or before 25th.

May be he was in dark. department was ready to announce result, and this useless minister was confusing people.

Congress in state is unable to conduct SSLC and PUC exam in Karnataka, and talking about PMs BA and MA degree.
What a shame on country for allowing them to rule us for almost 6 decades.

We have "UNEDUCATED" Education minister in state.

There is a huge gap between SSLC and PM's position. Do not shorten this to create a PM of the calibre that is today.

Do understand the anxiety in those who answered the exams, this is not a time to politicize the topic.
