Dubai: Rewind '07-70'- SMKC's Charity Event wins Audience's Hearts

Dubai, Oct 26: As mentioned in these columns in the past, SMKC Dubai, a organization with the purpose of community charity has hosted enterainment-packed events to raise funds for the benift of poor families back home.

'Rewind '07-70' on Thursday October 25, 2007 at the Al Rashidiya Ballroom, Al Bustan Rotana Hotel, Dubai was yet another glowing example for this. The event had a star attraction.  Dubai one-time favourite compere who has been blessed with amazing oratorial skills, Ivan D'Lima was flown in to compere the event all the way from Canada. He along with local, charming Annie Menezes took control of the entire procedings of the superb evening with their innovative  and commanding compering.

The event formally began with welcome speech by able SMKC leader Noel Mascarenhas who did not forget to remember the sponsors and people behind this succesful event.

Goa's famous band "CASCADES" arrived here to perform exclusively for the event. Their did not disappoint anyone as they played old and new English numbers to keep the audience glued to their seat to the end.  Young and old couples danced throughout the show to the glorious  CASCADE music.  The band made sure that every couple was on the floor to enjoy the melodious music.

Broadways Dancers, a well-known dance troupe however gave a break to the audience in between with their professional dance.  DJ Music, Novelty Dance, spot prizes, felicitation to the sponsors and were other highlights of the event.

Fr Fredric D'Souza, spriritual director of SMKC was also present at the event and inspired the SMKC members to organize the event professionally throughout.

Once again SMKC presented a professional show with their diciplined organizational skills and approach.  All in all it was indeed a memorable and glorious weekend for all who attended the programme.
