Mangaluru, May 16: Montepadavu residents, mother and son, returning after Umrah pilgrimage have died in the car accident in Khasim road, Zubail. The father of deceased youth in the accident and his wife have been injured and are undergoing treatment at the hospital there.

Abbas (29) and his mother Khateejamma(50) are the deceased. Father Mohammed(60) and Mainaz, wife of Abbas are being treated at Khasim hospital.

Abbas, employed in a construction company in Zubail, Saudi Arabia had called his wife and parents to go for Umrah pilgrimage. Four family members of his Kerala origin friend and four members from Abbas family had gone in the car. When they were returning from Umra to their residence at about 2 am late night, in Zubail their car driver lost control of the vehicle and hit the road divider. The mother and the
son died on the spot.

Marriage of Abbas had taken place about six months ago with Mulki Kannangar resident Mainaz. Late Abbas has left behind two sisters and one brother.

Minister Khader visited the house of the deceased at Montepadavu and consoled the family there. Naringana panchayat president Ismail Meenankodi, member Mohammed Fayaz, Former Zilla panchayat member N S Karim were present.
