Mangaluru, May 18: Arena Animation, in association with Daijiworld 24x7 television, is coming out with Arena Short Film Awards (ASFA 2016). The awards are aimed at encouraging young film makers and college students alike to display their talents. The event also provides an opportunity for the newcomers to interact with industry experts and celebrities besides showcasing their hidden talents.
The main motto of the organizers is to provide unbridled opportunities to young film makers for building their careers. For this purpose, the awards will be given in different categories just like the international level short film awards.
For this award, film makers from South India and Dubai will compete with each other in producing brilliant short films, documentaries or advertising films. Experts from the industry will judge their works besides providing them with guidance and useful career tips. This will help the young film makers to get abreast with the industry trends, besides providing them with an opportunity to learn to work in a team by adhering to strict deadlines.
Top 50 short films will be screened by the TV channel, and the best ones will be rewarded at the award ceremony to be held at Town Hall on May 26 at 3 pm. The ceremony will also have entertainment programmes by a number of performing teams. Celebrities from Bollywood, Kannada and Tulu film industry will be part of the awards ceremony.
The event is open for all and the registration for participation has begun from May 15.
