I heard from a guru about cutting down Ashwaththa tree (in-case it grew within residential area obstructing peoples' stay). He said if the tree is big enough to have a hundred leaves and if the tree needs to be cut down, a certain pooja must be performed. If its smaller than that, some other pooja needs to be performed. What is the remedy now ? Guidance from such gurus has made people build 'Katte' around every Ashwaththa sapling eventually hindering road widening.
