Holiday rush - new AC train to run between city and Mumbai

Mangaluru, May 21: To handle rush of passengers between Mumbai and the city, a special air-conditioned train (No. 02133/02134) has been introduced between Mangaluru Junction and Lokamanya Tilak Terminus at Mumbai.

Train No. 02133 will begin its journey from Lokamanya Tilak Terminus on May 24, 31, and June 7 at 00:45 hours. It will reach Mangaluru Junction station at 18 hrs the same day.

On its return journey, train No. 02134 will leave Mangaluru Junction station on May 24, May 31, and June 7 at 20:30 hrs and reach its destination at 13.15 hrs the next day.

This 17-coach train will have halts at Thane, Panvel, Roha, Khed, Chiplun, Ratnagiri, Kankavli, Kudal, Sawantwadi Road, Tivim,Karmali, Margao, Karwar, Kumta, Bhatkal, Mooambika Road Byndoor, Kundapur, Udupi and Mulky stations, a release from the railways said.

    The Mlr- Madgao daily passenger train should be extended upto Vasco instead of verna. It should have AC chaircar too. When will the Railways open a bar on Indian trains ?

    I travelled by Mangalore Express train no.12134 on 20.05.16 from Mangalore Junction station to CST Mumbai. Train started from Mangalore at 13.55 and reached Mumbai CST at about 5.30 today.

    Earlier proposal is there even to start train from either Bandra/Khar. It will be useful for many people who are residing in suburbs. If it starts will become a big relief for all especially aged people and women's who use to carry baggage from one end to another. While traveling in A/C coaches be careful about baggages chances are more get sleep quickly.
