Venkaiah Naidu's contribution to state zero, fume Twitterati

Bengaluru, May 21 (DHNS): The election to the Rajya Sabha from the state assembly has caught up on the social media.

Since May 17, there has been opposition to the renomination of Union Urban Development Minister Venkaiah Naidu to the Upper House from the state quota.

Four members of the Upper House from Karnataka, including Naidu, are retiring in June. Polls to elect the new members are scheduled to be held on June 11.

Members of the Legislative Assembly form the electoral college. #VenkayyaSakayya (meaning enough of Venkaiah) has been trending on Twitter. Many posts state that Naidu’s contribution to Karnataka has been poor despite being sent to the Upper House thrice - 1998, 2004 and 2010.

    Always Karnataka BJP talks about Kannada , Kannada language , Kannada culture, but they do not have common sense to send non Kannadiga for the fourth time to RS. Karnataka voted BJP but BJP is doing injustice to Kannadiga's.

    Naidu might have addressed Mr. Modi " the Moses of India" the God sent savior and deliverer of India from poverty through stretching the Moses rod and pouring down rain in the drought stricken States of India. But Modiji rebuked him for his desire to name with a Biblical name.

    In Conversions Debate, Venkaiah Naidu earlier said he's 'Proud of RSS Background'.Conflict with the Rashtriya Sayamsevak Sangh's philosophy of rejecting "vyakti puja" he is the first swayamsevak d that Narendra Modi as "god's gift to India".

    Modi or no Modi, RSS or no RSS, Venkaiah Naidu will always find a new god to worship.Who cares about Kannadigas?

Regarding Rajya Sabha or Legislative Council, like house of Lords, Politicians made few Demi Gods, who had no mandate from people, but the blessings of High Command, made to sit in a prestigious Place, showering them with Handsome Salary and Perks.     I have been commenting from long ago that Rajya Sabha has to be shut down. Why we have to give chance for those who have lost election & entering from Back door. We can save a lot of money of about 200 plus Rajya Sabha MPs,by way of their Salaries, & other benefits & our tax burden can be reduced. Why we need people like Tendulkar, Reka, Sharad Power, Kannimozi in Rajya Sabha. What is their contribution. As an Rajya Sabha MP Vijay Mallya was drawing every month about Rs.70,000/-as salary & other allowances for what? Why Venkaia has to be given chance from Karnataka. Let Andhra or Talengana propose his name. In fact we have lots of Telugu Corporators & other staff in our BBMP office in Bengaluru. I would say Kannadigas should be given priority instead of Telugu people in BBMP
