Abu Dhabi: Robert Rego Elected as President of KCO,Leena D'Souza Secretary

Abu Dhabi, Oct 27: Veteran Mangalorean and social leader Robert Rego was elected as the president of Konkani Cultural Organization (KCO), here at the annual general body meeting held on Friday October 27.

He is elected as a president for the period from Thursday November 1 to October 31 2008. Leena D'Souza and Donald Franklin D'Silva are elected to the posts of general secretary and treasurer respectively.

Both Leena D'Souza and Donald Franklin D'Silva are social activists. This is the second stint for Robert, Leena and Donald in their respective posts.
 
KCO is a social organization doing yeomen service to the poor especially in the field of education. At the moment 52 students are being supported by them to pursue studies in various disciplines such as professional, nursing and University colleges.
 
KCO will definitely march forward under the excellent team led by Robert Rego.
