Mangaluru, May 22: A person allegedly committed suicide by slitting his throat with a sticker cutting blade in a lodge in the city on Sunday, May 22.
The deceased person has been identified as Shambu G S (45) from Davanagere.
Shambu had checked in at the lodge on K S Rao Road on May 20. He, at unknown time, inflicted injury on his throat and died in the lodge. The matter was discovered on Sunday afternoon when his body was found in the room.
Shambu was last seen on Friday by lodge people. When he did not come out from the room, the lodge manager called police to open the room.
In a death note left behind Shambu has stated two names, Asha Hegde and Subhash Hegde as the persons responsible for his death.
Finger print experts and police personnel rushed to the spot.
A case stands registered at Bunder police station.
