Mangaluru, May 23: A seriously injured youth was found on railway tracks at Ullal behind Thokkottu bar on Sunday afternoon, May 22. The youth who is said to have been semi-conscious was admitted by local people to Wenlock hospital through 108 but he died without responding to treatment on Monday May 23 evening.

The deceased is Kolya Kaneeruthota resident Nithesh Shetty(27). Nithesh unable to speak in the hospital was only shaking his hands and legs. While his right hand looked fractured, his lower lips, below right ribs and legs had injuries and scratched wounds. His sister has registered a complaint at Ullal police station stating that he was murdered.

Nithesh in the hospital when asked his name for registration had said that his name was Dinesh and Avinash. Therefore 108 staff had admitted him with those names. Nita, sister of Nithesh, who got the information, came to the hospital. When Nita and her husband Lohith tried to make Nithesh speak, he had whispered the names of Avinash, Dinesh and Umesh.

The three apparently had assaulted Nithesh. He had fallen near the railway tracks to escape from his assaulters.

One shoe and his mobile were missing from the place where Nithesh was found. The bike used by him also was missing. His bike was brought and kept by somebody on Thokkottu railway tracks on Monday morning. It has confirmed the involvement of somebody in the murder of Nithesh.

Even though sniffer dog was brought, it went back without getting any clues.

Liquor is the main asset for government of Karnataka. They do not have alternative source of income. Even people in security forces and police force addicted to this. Most of the money collected through taxing liquor goes to bhagya yojane. Shame on this Kai government.
