Mangaluru, May 24: A hotel owner was arrested for allegedly attempting to rape a young girl who came to hotel to get a parcel.
Shakir from Bismillah hotel in Beluvai near Moodbidri is the person arrested.
As per details of the case, the young girl stays in a rented room with her family originally from Chikkamagaluru district. She went to the mentioned hotel to bring some parcel for her family on Saturday. Shakir, upon making sure nobody was around, tried to molest her.
The victim narrated the incident to her father on Sunday. Her father complained to the police and police have arrested the accused.
