Mangaluru, May 25: Timely intervention with presence of mind by the alert security guards and people averted a fire tragedy at the premises of Fr Muller's Hospital here on Wednesday, May 25.
It is reported that an Omni car which came inside the premises of the hospital and experienced a gas leakage. After people and security guards noticed the gas leakage in the car, they tried to prevent it with the help of a fire extinguisher brought from the hospital and tried their best to stop the leakage. Then they shifted the car outside the hospital.
Later the fire brigade rushed to the spot and was successful in completely stopping the leakage.
As it is a crowded area, timely intervention saved the people and vehicles from damage , said onlookers.
