Abu Dhabi, May 26: DTAC (District Toastmasters Annual Conference) is a very prestigious and high profile event taking place in the region. It is a three days event and is expected to be attended by approximately 1,000 delegates from seven GCC countries namely Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar and UAE. Winners from this event will be participating in the international conference for world championship in USA.
DTAC 2016 is scheduled to take place at Zayed University Convention Center, Khalifa City C, here from May 26 to May 28 from 9.00 am onwards. The main event will be held on Friday May 27 from 8.30 am with. There will be a gala dinner at the same venue on Friday May 27 from 8.00 pm.
The Toastmasters (TM) International Programme launched in the year 1924 in the United States specializes in development of leadership and communication skills. As of today, TM International Programme is considered the leading non-profit programme in the world, available in 135 countries with more than 3,32,000 members in 15,400 clubs across the world. The Toastmasters Programme in the Middle East was first introduced in Bahrain in 1964 and in the UAE in 1995. All Toastmasters Clubs in UAE, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Jordan and Lebanon represent District 20, with over 354 clubs and 10,000 members in these 7 countries. Yet, again Abu Dhabi has been honored with the opportunity to host DTAC-2016.
