Mangaluru, May 27 : VIKAS PRE UNIVERSITY COLLEGE, under the aegis of VIKAS EDUCATION TRUST which was registered in the year 1993 in Mangalore by Sri Krishna J.Palemar,visionary but also a philanthropist ,social activist and was also a former Minister. The college is located in a peaceful, serene and pollution free environment of Maryhill, Manglore. The Motto of the collage is "KNOWLWDGE IS POWER".
Vikas PU College, one of the premier PU Colleges in Karnataka is marching towards becoming the pioneer in the field of PU education, offers residential facility with integrated NEET and JEE coaching by a set of highly experienced dream team of teachers. Within a very short span, the results achieved by the students have become talk of the town in every household across the state.
"Education is the manifestation of wisdom which is already present in man," said Swami Vivekananda . The teaching fraternity at Vikas are trained to empower the students and to bring out the best from each and every one of them .Teachers are also trained in many areas of Human Resource so that they could be role models for our students . Identifying , mobilizing and managing the Human Resource of the student community helps the students to discover their own strengths and weaknesses , thus making the students more creative ,innovative with a quest for knowledge and flair for learning.

As a small gift from the VIKAS EDUCATION TRUST of Sri Krishna J.Palemar, a scholarship fund was initiated that will allow to provide financial aid to PUC students from Karnataka. The VIKAS Scholarship Fund will support approximately 30 to 40 students at any given time and will ensure that the very best students , regardless of their financial circumstances.
The specialty of the scholarship is, it is not bound by any reservation of caste, creed and religion. The needy and those meritorious students hailing from weaker sections of the society are adopted and the scholarship will be awarded annually. Recipients will receive the scholarship for the duration of their PUC studies at VIKAS.
Qualifications
To receive the scholarship, a recipient must:
be a citizen of India and have passed his 10th class examination with 90%;
be offered admission to VIKAS as an PUC student;
be eligible for need-based financial aid.
Application Process
PUC applicants will be eligible for consideration for the VIKAS Scholarship if they have completed the admission application and have applied for financial aid. All PUC applicants must apply for financial aid by completing the financial aid application process for students.
To apply for financial aid the following documents are required:
10th class marks list
Income certificate.
conduct and character certificate from previous school.
Transfer certificate.
This year, 40 students will receive 100% scholarship out of which 30 students from Science and 10 students from commerce respectively.
