Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (SP)

Mangaluru, May 28: "The seashore of Karnataka coast happens to be  the hub of tourism potential of the state. For the first time, national level surfing competition is being held at the government level. Goa and Kerala have explored their tourism potential by organizing coastal water sports. Karnataka too has good potential for exploring this field. We need to create a congenial environment to attract foreigners to the coastal belt by projecting local culture in addition to holding water sports competitions," felt state tourism, small scale and large industries minister, R V Deshpande.

It is indeed a nice to organise this, I had been for this event but there are lots of things which are lacking by organizers,
The event is done in a professional way,
    1) Food counters unhygienic
    2) Music group seems to be not professional one & also the sound guys.
3)Boat rides no Life jackets provided. There are two small boats for rides which were not safe, And the ride is at the place where Sea River joins & there is so much current where the boat capsizes no chance of survivals.
Observed one small boat( Private) roaming around with 4-5 guys in it shouting & saw those guys were throwing beer bottles in the water. (Polices were sitting far away,.
Next time when organized it has to more realistic.
    Thnx to the organizers.
