Accident on Thokkottu overbrige, help from police averts casualty


Mescom does not turn up, Police excel in help

Mangaluru, May 28: A swift car hit an electric pole at the divider on Thokkottu overbridge on Saturday morning at 3 am in which a person sustained injuries while other three passengers escaped miraculously.

Ismail (20) is the person injured.


It is said that when the people phoned Mescom office landline, there was no response. The police personnel, who arrived at the scene, rescued the passengers by lifting the electric wires by using a plank. The police personnel later were forced to go to Mescom office to bring the Mescom people for further action.

    Whatever the reason, don't u think it was the DUTY of MESCOM safety personnel to immediately rush to the spot and disconnect power supply and help in shifting the pole to prevent further catastrophe with some rescuers maiming/dying due to electric shock?
