Mangaluru, May 28: District BJP president Pratap Simha Nayak slammed Congress government and termed three years administration as misgovernance and lack of peoples trust in the government's administration.

Addressing the press meet at press club here on Saturday May 28 he said " People have lost hope on government's administration. The government has become so corrupt, we cannot expect good administration from this government. Even senior leaders in Congress like Kagodu Thimmappa are giving statements against the government,"

On corruption allegation leveled against state health minister UT Khader, Simha said " When there were corruption allegations on the state government ministers, people in the district relaxed thinking that they were not from our district. But when the corruption allegations against UT Khader have put the district into shame,"

Nayak also alleged that district in-charge minister Ramanatha Rai is backing the rampant sand mining in the district. "State government formed ACB to de-stabilize the Lokayuktha and appointed their own officers who will protect corrupt politicians. Problems like giving kumki rights to the farmers, has not been solved. Though the union government has come forward to solve electricity problem in the state, the state government has not started the procedure,"

On Yettinahole issue, he said "It is the responsibility of state government to hold negotiation with people of the district. When the people of the district irrespective of caste, party and religion are opposing this project, government should come forward to solve this issue."

He also said that government has not implemented any new programme in Bahugrama drinking water programme in three years. "This government is supporting the illegal activities like sand mining, illegal cow trafficking and destruction of trees from the forest. Interference in the police department affairs made people to lose the faith in the system." he added.

Speaking on the occasion, MLC Ganesh Karnik stated that he has spoken to chief minister and state education minister to postpone the reopening of schools to June 15 as there is severe drinking water issue and drought like situation in state.

Oh yes, the government has become so corrupt, we cannot expect good administration from this government, just like what happened during Yeddi's time. People are clever, they removed BJP, and they can remove Congress too. BJP lost golden opportunity in the State and now they pretend to have forgotten their sad story!
