Kuwait, May 29 : It was a grand show of the much hyped high budget Konkani Movie 'Ek Aslyar Ek Na' which released in Kuwait on Friday the 27th May, 2016 at the auditorium of American International School, Maidan Hawalli, Kuwait at 6 pm. The film cast crew including the Producer Frank Fernandes, Lavina Fernandes, Alphonse D'Souza & Deepak Paladka were invited to be part of the show being organised by Event Productions in association with various Konkani Associations in Kuwait. The show was full house and the audience enjoyed whistling, applauding and were fully entertained watching the show after a very long wait for such a Konkani film.

The main sponsors for the Kuwait show were Vally D'Sa of Khalil Bahman & Partners & Shaun Pinto of WRAP IT with Co-Sponsors Prasaanna Pillai of Inch Decor LLC.

The Chief Guests included Fr. Antony Lopez, Parish Priest of Holy Family Cathedral along with Deacon Sylvester D'Souza & Harish Bhandary, President of Tulu Koota Kuwait who inaugurated the show with prayers and lighting the candle. MC Doris Lobo conducted the proceedings while Lucy Aranha rendered the thanks giving note.

The movie featured one of Kuwait's famous talent Lucy Aranha whose fans were flocking to have a picture with her.

Interestingly the show was successful even though there were many other regional programmes on the same day at various places.

"Ek Aslyar Ek Na" is now moving towards Abu Dhabi on 3rd June, 2016 for 2 more shows in the capital of UAE before moving towards London. Abu Dhabi residents have already booked major seats of the Theater before the show being announced.

Good job done by Mr Fanky Fernandes. I feel pity for Konkani film industry, because there is no good support from all people. Only Actors, directors have to work to bring crowd to the show, Pradeep, Aphone and Deepak only three people posting same thing every day on facebook, whatsapp and daijiworld etc. Look at the other movie industry specially Tulu, actors are stars they dont do publicity except roadshows, here everything is done by actors only This should be stopped. More other people should support.

Fantastic achievement on the part of all the Kuwaitis in initiating the screening of Konkany movie. Kuwait was always blessed with some of the fine pioneers who had given their wholehearted support for promotion of Konkany cultural activities. Kuwait always had some of the best talents not only in Konkany but also in many other languages and cultures of India.

The most important and precious gift that the Indian expatriates had always enjoyed in Kuwait for the past 60 years that I can recollect is the ever-growing support and blessings from the Kuwaiti Government. They had always known the hidden secret of encouraging foreign expatriates to remain active and happy in Kuwait because they knew that it is one way to motivate foreign expatriates to remain happy and successful in addition to providing the loyalty towards all the responsibilities that they were entrusted with.

Noble expats such as Mr. Vally D'Sa and many others who have dedicated so much for the welfare of Kuwait is a classic example.

Even during the invasion of Kuwait by the neighboring country, and the way the Sheikhdom has recovered from the shocking inferno of Oil Well Fires is a phenomenal triumph that Kuwait should be proud of.

We have always been fond of Kuwait because we had so many dozens of our family members who have lived and prospered in the Sheikhdom and have returned home with a peaceful mind and a grateful heart. God bless Kuwait that we always admired from a distance.
